This version of the program is a full working copy which allows all the

The Artists in this trial version are: Beatles, Jack Bruce, Roger Chapman,
Eric Clapton, Joe Cocker, Phil Collins, Cream, Derek & the Dominoes,
Fairport Convention, Family, Freddie King, Manassas, John Mayall (The
Bluesbreakers), Spirit, Stephen Stills, Streetwalkers, Tina Turner, Steve
Winwood, Yardbirds.

The Name and Address information asked for on installation is used only to

The program and any VBX's or DLL's required are all loaded into the Rockbase
Directory. To remove RockBase Plus from your system all you need to do is
remove this directory. The only exception to this rule is a small amendment
to the file VB.INI and the placing of the file ROCKBASE.INI in the windows
directory. If you are not running Visual Basic this file will be added for
you when RockBase Plus is installed and can be deleted if you remove
RockBase Plus from your system.
Installation:
Installation will create directories as follows, and put the following files
onto your hard disk.
Assuming you choose C:\ROCKBASE as your install directory,

Removing RockBase Plus:
Files are installed as above for your convenience, so that to delete the
complete RockBase Plus installation, you need only remove the ROCKBASE
directory and it's sub-directories, plus contents. If you have limited
disk space, you may at your own risk, if you identify duplicate files
(likely to be .VBX or .DLL files)(name, size and date) in \ROCKBASE and
\WINDOWS\SYSTEM, remove the duplicates from \ROCKBASE, NOT from
\WINDOWS\SYSTEM. This is the only method recommended; if you remove one
file too many, and RockBase Plus fails to operate, you can then re-install
RockBase Plus. We take no responsibility for any errors that you make
deleting files from ANY OTHER DIRECTORY.
SHARE.EXE:
It is necessary to install SHARE.EXE or it's equivalent (see below) in
your AUTOEXEC.BAT for database access to work. RockBase Plus installation
will install this for you, if it cannot find it in your AUTOEXEC file. If it
carries out the installation, you will need to reboot your computer to
make it effective. Since the installation does not know where SHARE.EXE
resides on your computer, it places SHARE.EXE after any PATH command, in
the expectation that PATH will allow SHARE to come from a directory
in your PATH eg C:\DOS or similar.
If by chance SHARE.EXE is not found on re-boot, you will need to modify
the AUTOEXEC.BAT entry to for example C:\DOS\SHARE.EXE /L:500, including
the full path as it actually is.
If your AUTOEXEC.BAT has been amended, the older version will have been
saved as AUTOEXEC.RB. Hence if you have any problems after installation,
please compare these files.
On newer versions of Windows (3.11), and on Windows 3.1, if you are
running in 386 enhanced mode, you may have VSHARE.386 in place which
fulfills the function of SHARE.EXE and makes it redundant. If you
are SURE that this is the case you can remove SHARE.EXE from your
AUTOEXEC.BAT. You should however allow it to be installed first, or
RockBase Plus will fail to install.
VB.INI:
You will see that the RockBase Plus installation will install a very small
file called VB.INI in your WINDOWS directory. This is necessary for some
of the printing options to function.
If you are a Visual Basic user, and have this file already, it may have
added a small entry to your existing file. In that case it will have saved
the existing file as VB.RB for you to refer to. Only if you are a Visual
Basic programmer, who is programming with Databases, may you have had an
existing entry with possible conflict. In that case, you will have seen a
warning issued by RockBase Plus during installation. If you change the
SytsemDB entry from the entry made by Rockbase, you will need to restore
the RockBase entry for RockBase to work. We assume that if you need this
information, and need to act on it, that you are an experienced programmer,
and are able to edit the VB.INI file for yourself. Alternatively,
re-installing RockBase Plus will restore VB.INI to the status required.
